Antique Arts and Crafts movement Sussex Chair with original rush seat. Attributed to Morris & Co. 
The sussex chair range were retailed by Morris & Co. They produced a quantity of these chairs from the 1860's in various different patterns and woods. This chair does not have the Morris & Co. stamp however it is the right dimensions and design for this model. 
It Is in overall good condition. It is sturdy and can be used. It would be perfect as a bedroom or hall chair due to its size.  
At some point in its 130 year life the rush seat has been varnished on top, although not original it has kept it in good condition. The front wooden panel to the rush seat has also been honestly replaced although obviously some time ago.
This chair is an antique item and thefore does show signs of its age and use so please view all of the photographs and message me if you would like to see more.
